The basic philosophy of R.O.O.F. is to utilize the attention that the Hip-Hop culture has created as a medium to inspire youth who believe in their hopes and dreams, but have lost the motivation to persevere. We want our youth to understand the control and structure they so greatly need comes from within.  R.O.O.F. believes although one may grow up within a culture that vividly portrays the deepest and darkest ways of life, filled with anguish and solitude; that something positive is still possible. Our foundation hopes to facilitate the turning point that allows children to self-motivate themselves past their own expectations. R.O.O.F. will also help to build our communities through development of young entrepreneurs giving them the understanding that they too can be successful if they are educated, hard working and dedicated. Through these endeavors we plan to Raise Our Own Foundation, which will prove to be cyclical and eventually solidify the African-American community.
